Typically, highly-intelligent and specifically genius people get so much attention throughout their childhood that by their early 20s they're already convinced that they're the second coming of Christ. This creates a massive ego which in turn creates a very biased thought process, bias that transfers to the topics of interest as well. I can guarantee you that every genius is biased and refuses to let go of his biased thinking, some get lucky and discover something - most perpetuate the same delusion forever. If you can clear the bias from your thought process, you can be as dumb as you want and you'd still achieve more than them because your X processing power isn't chasing a delusional tangent, unlike their 2X one.
