I thought you all would be the most likely to be interested in memory as a competitive activity, followed perhaps by /tg/.

I'm fascinated by it, and more generally by the sheer amount of knowledge that people can actually retain and make use of if they know how and regularly use their capacity to remember. I'm currently learning some mnemonic pegs using the Major System. Once I get 50 down, I'll start working on the method of loci and memorizing randomized decks of cards.

Obviously it has a lot more use than that, in terms of accurately storing new information that's a bit more relevant and less arbitrary, too. I wish I'd known this shit in college.
