is the process through which a specie hones its survival skills, but humans have abilities that are not natural requirements, did nature wake up one day and say "yes, it is time to experiment with unnecessaries"?

it's clear at least to me that humans don't quite belong here on earth, which is a natural and animal realm. we fail at survival without a weapon. and when we do evolve we take on characteristics that are not required by nature, to survive.
