Is there a way to undo the undergrad degree and gpa and do it again? I chose the wrong school and fooled around but now I'm serious and would swing it out of the park. I mean even things like credit scores are more reactive where you can improve it or you could mess it up.

But to answer your question, Im not sure. You need to contact someone at your college. As long at you persue a science degree and show that you have good grades within that field, you could have a chance. But a 3.8 gpa isnt terribly bad. 3.9 is commonly accepted from what I heard from my cousin.

They let students grade the teachers and tenure committees look at these grades. University teachers have learned that higher grades to students gives higher student grades to teachers.

I have a 3.94. I don't know anyone with a 4 but I assume there's a couple people who have it somewhere in my grade. It's rare but not as rare as in your country. if you come to every test with a clear understanding of everything on it you'll be fine and get an A. Every now and then they'll throw you a curveball and you'll walk away with an A-, but so far I haven't run into anything impossible

Apparently grade inflation is high in private schools within the US, from what ive heard. So you have to come from a reputable school. I go to a really good public school thankfully that is extremely reputable. My class has 430 people and I worked so damn hard for my 4.3 [currently]. I got a 4.0 at my state uni for my undergrad and it's much harsher on assignment grades than my grad school which is private. That being said tests and such were easy during my undergrad because you could see that the test was tailored off decades of public education. Imagine going back to 3rd grade as a 30year old and taking the tests. You'd be top of your class.

No, it's not, unless you want to apply to Ivy league grad schools or if you're in Law School or something. I've gotten into T25 grad schools with a 3.44.

A lot of med schools have a 3.0 requirement or even less.

Good luck. (seriously). It is hard enough applying as a non-traditional student (major break in education since I withdrew from my previous college). Despite having 1580 SAT and 4.2 GPA even shitty state schools said I had to do 2 years of community college first. From looking through many transfer pages on school websites I've noticed that a large number mention that they do not allow people to get a 2nd bachelor's. I would advise you to research schools that do allow it and speak with one of their counselors to figure out how you can apply for it and if you need to do anything special beforehand like testing etc. If you dropped out you can do CC and transfer to a new uni, but if you graduated with a shit GPA you might be fucked. If your new intended major is wildly different from the former it will help. No school is likely to let you in to get a 2nd Bachelors for the same subject. If it is the same field, just nail the GRE and get into the best school you can for a masters and your undergrad GPA won't matter anyways.

I go to a top 5 university for my major, finance. Even an internship at a local firm requires two of the following: being a minority, having a 3.8+ GPA, or somehow having previous experience.

Meanwhile, any fucking retard that knows how to code from any college can find a job as a software engineer stat. If you go to a major banks website, they LITERALLY offer more internships for software engineers than anything finance related.

If you go to a shit school or have a shit GPA as long as you have a desirable degree, you made it.

Standarized scores are bullshit. I got a 21 in the ACT, then retook it to obtain a maximum of 24. I also performed in the 50th percentile SAT wise. Till this day my only regret is that those scores kept me from getting into more prestigious programs or possibly scholarship opportunities. Some of us just don't get life handed to us in a silver platter.

Can also confirm. I got CDE in my A levels, was admitted into a course I really shouldn't have been through clearing, and graduated with an incredibly strong first, possibly the highest grade of my cohort.
Hopefully this goes somewhere and I get in one of the graduate programmes I've applied for.

Lmao avg GPA at my ivy league school (Cornell arts and sciences) is 3.4 for people that don't take honors or double major do anything extra (I did math and physics and did research and was in a frat and in various clubs).
