I have been meaning to discuss this on here for a while but I'm just now getting around to it. I believe catgirls are absolutely feasible with current technology but it's always approached wrong.
here is the long of my theory:
When creating a catgirl, true genetic hybridization is not the way to go, but instead if that is our end goal we should focus on "visual hybridization." this is a technique I concieved, which would use convergant evolution theory to find a close possible relative to humans (possibly having as small a genetic divergance factor to be classified as a race of humans as opposed to a new species) yet having a few factors, such as cat ears tales and maybe aditional hair to resemble the anatomy of a cat. this can be achieved via an algorithm I have yet to produce which will use the known human genome as a "vanilla" input genome, an artistic depiction of catgirls as an end goal input, and a specific percent divergance in regards to how different the genome would be from traditional humans (likely not being greater than 1%). upon activation, the ideal algorithm will generate a number of cellular structures, rendering them briefly, using a patern recognition algorithm to compare the input artistic depiction to the produced render, until it ultimately developes a number of genomes for possible catgirls. from there, once a human eye has combed through however many genomes and attached renders to determine the proper genome, someone will use Crispr technology to reflect the genome into an actual embryo. then, finally, we will have created the first catgirl embryo.
