If thought patterns and IQ are mostly inheritable through genes, and we've known this for what seems like 60 years, why isn't there a state backed push to educate people into selectively breeding out low IQ and undesirable personality traits such as mental illness?

In 100 years from now having a serious mental illness is going to be normal, and the divide between the intelligence of the average person and that of anyone with a science/technology background will be so large that the average person will view them as a god, it's already happening now look at the awe and respect given to hackers by the public.

This worries me.
