>>11027150Not sure there are or will ever be any scientific studies on this, but if I had to made a guess I would say that women are more afraid of social repercussions, thus their comedy is more safe and inhibited. An important part of comedy is to play with fire. It is this fire that really ignites the audience. Also, women have different interests than men. I cannot see why women should be worse at the actual craft of making jokes ignoring differences in content. I am even tempted to suggest that women are even better at it.
