To save the Earth and the life on Her we need to reduce our energy usage, by how much exactly, I don't know. Reimagine our cities and infrastructure, how our society works, less need for cars and machines that gobble up energy and more room for natural, human powered transportation. Closer knit communities, the ability for everyone to grow their own food and enough time in the day to wash your clothes the old fashioned way, cook healthy meals for you and your family, and enjoy the best parts of your life? What is the point of work in the western world? To fuel industry, to pay the bills for the building which house the workers and factories. Well, what if the factories powered and operated themselves, through solar, geothermic, wind, etc. You can totally design a building to self heat and cool without ANY electricity or power, you just have to built it smartly (look into "earthships"), in fact, often times the only appliance you actually need is a refrigerator of some sort, and there is probably a way to do that without resorting to electricity or needing to constantly resupply it with ice either. Not only does reducing our global energy consumption help us return the Earth to her natural state, it also returns us to harmony with the world, and each other. Have you ever heard of a shootout or a drive by in those self-sustaining hippy communes? Worst that ever happens is someone takes too much drugs and thinks they're Jesus, lol

I'm not saying we have to get rid of technology and go full an-prim. No, I think we can figure out a way to have the best parts of our current technology, bringing it together with living naturally and sustainably, and help heal this planet and her peoples.
