Can someone redpill me on this? I'm more of a /lit/ guy but I made my through most of this book (I do have enough math and science such that not all of it's over my head) and don't know what to think.

The big takeaway is that simple rules can lead to complex structures through simple computation. If something can compute, then it can perform all manner of computation no matter how "difficult" it may seem. That's what I understand from his work. Computer Science is quite dull to me.

The only difference is Wolfram got lucky and made something that happened to make our lives easier
Like TempleOS, Wolfram's work isn't ground breaking, it's really just a glorified calculator but it's useful since nobody is autistic enough to waste their intellectual pursuits on something so tedious
