Call me an incel but engineering has become increasingly biased in favor of women. Girls I knew in HS got into the most selective engineering program at our uni, of course they grinded it out and met the actual requirements. However, the fact they were directly admitted in the general school of eng. Despite not taking any calc, physics, programming, shop, or related extracurriculars is absurd for a "selective" program. For people who did already meet those requirements and were technically a year ahead in coursework they just tacked extra "pre reqs" because otherwise every program would already be filled.
