Potentially this. China most likely has done it.

There's nothing special about humans that makes us more difficult to clone than any of the myriad other animals we've cloned.

There is no reason technically that this could not be done. There is nothing special about humans from other animals when it comes to biology.

Looking for reliable, commerical anywhere. I'm getting older. I have to have children, but I've never liked anyone enough to downmix with their dna. I know I work. I'm my favorite person. The overall smartest person I know. When you see all these inferiors talk about saddling with their already worthless, soon to be redundant stock, it only make me think we need to have an anchor of the functional prototypes go mainline, to keep a core of reasonable people here like Uatu.

I live an intentionally Spartan life. Like a Bauer bird, humans seem to have to make a nest to attract a mate. I could go wagecucking it for 80 hours a week and stack, but its already late. Even if you fall in love, no guarantee two good people will make better, or even equal offspring. I just need to back up my files so to speak.

Nothing irresponsible, just a foot in the world of the living to keep it going. Version two might find a mate. I'm outta time.

It's already a thing, now wait for the commercial releases.
Very soon you will be able to take a genetical imprint of yours and get yourself a female version of yourself to marry, but seeing how inbreeding would be a massive problem you just make a baby clone of yourself and adopt it into your very own family of just you.

I of course have had that fantasy of a reversed sex clone, who hasn't? But what I mean about time is I might be terminally ill. I'm no wooly mammoth, but ultimate fallback would be saving hair and a clone being birthed after ma death.
