Assuming that we're holding these two planets together with a magic bridge that ignores structural mechanics, you'd end up catapulting the pair of them out of their orbit. Once they reached a new equilibrium they'd orbit around the collective center of gravity.
If the two bodies were tidally locked with eachother, and co-orbital then nothing would change except for now having a super space elevator to the moon.
