Teachers don't teach you to see the problems and learn what tools to use to solve them. No, they just fill your brains with theories and formulas and call it a day.
If you genuinely like mathematics I'm sure you'll figure it out yourself, but that's not how you create involvement in the topic.
I don't deny the usefulness of math, but 90% of what they taught me was lost in just 1-2 years after I stopped the studies.
That's precious time that was wasted for nothing when you encounter a real life problem that you could have solved by math, but no, you don't even remember what subset of math it was that solved that specific problem because you only remember of endless sheets filled by pure mental masturbation with no rhyme nor logic.
That's when you end up wasting time searching for youtube videos and other sources to figure it out, which is the answer to OP's question.
