This. I'd rather have ridiculously short time-frames that ends up becoming more reasonable ones ("we said that we would do it in one year, but we did it in five"), rather than having a long conservative time-frame that ends up becoming ridiculously long ("we said that we would do it in five years, but it's turning into ten or more" or look at any post-Apollo NASA project that's not a probe).

There's a huge difference between "this is a prototype that's intended to fly, but we rushed setting it up so it'll look good for this presentation and we'll properly finish it later" and "this thing was never meant to fly and we were lying to everyone about it".

Actually, they had to depressurise the Roadster’s tires to prevent them from exploding in a vacuum. Also, the Roadster likely doesn’t exist anymore, at least in a recognisable form because it’s been shredded by radiation.

Normally, I might be inclined to believe it, but then again, Starhopper also flew.

This thing is little more than Starhopper 2.0 with nigger-rigged aerodynamics and such and Elon said flat-out that it was likely only going to make one 65,000 foot flight, aka, it's not even going to fly as high as some planes do.

It's the Starship equivalent of pic related.
