question. if electrons know when they are being observed and fix their position would that not mean that we are in a simulation how would an electron know its being observed it seems like code to be honest idk im not very smart and im not well educated in the subject but i cant really see another explanation

What I don't understand is, if the act of "measurement" (to throw away the confusing word "observation") is just subatomic particles interacting and causing the collapse of the wave. Then why isn't the moment when the waves collide with the wall considered just such an event, which by that definition, should also cause the collapse of the wave? Does the wave just not have enough time to collapse because it's hitting a wall, as opposed to being hit with just a few particles?

thats what i was thinking but observing is just taking in light or energy, right? if it interferes with how it reacts the experiment would be void

Because if it was truly a standing wave, the wave would already "know" the wall was there. The wall is not interacting in any way.
