I don't see why it wouldn't be possible, but you'd need a few unique genes from weird extremist creatures before you could make a decent one, and it'd probably be small. Ideal size for a flying one would be the size of a pug, but if you wanted one that was large enough to walk around and look like it could fuck you up (it might be able to, but it might also be poorly designed and injure itself trying to be aggressive) you could probably get away with making one as large as maybe a tiger?

i'd just want a sharper mind that doesn't get distracted so easily. kind of a shitty time to be born, or rather, to exist. just a few decades too early for GMO enhancements, a few decades too late to escape the woes of modernity.

Likely not.

There is a reason why there aren't any animals (aside from insects) with both wings AND forelimbs. It's too fucking energetically costly. Having arms as well as wings would be amazing, even if they were weak and small and only were used for tool manipulation instead of strength. But it just doesn't really work like that.

How does genetic engineering even work? I know crispr can cut DNA and stuff but how does it know which strand to go to? How do we know which strands affect what?

I'm a physics major so i know next to nothing about biology beyond my 1 semester of bio I took in freshman year out of curiosity.
