Recently I started counting my calories. I ate a donut I got for free on campus this afternoon. However, it was a square donut rather than an ordinary donut. Attached is a drawing I made of some assumptions for the square donut in relation to a circular donut. I assume that a regular donut cross-section can be inscribed in both the donut and the hole of donut (square donut with a solid lines and regular donut with dashed lines in pic). Also, because regular donuts have a curve, I indicated this with the parallel dashed lines in the picture (instead of doing topography traditionally) indicating that between the parallel lines we have a flat surface and then it sinks back to form a regular donut. Next to the first drawing we have a second drawing of the side view. I designated an arbitrary height of 3k (whatever doesn't matter) and in relation to the square donut, the regular donut has a curve where it stops curving for k height , and then curve back down.
So, if I assume the surface area of the donut is comprised of glaze that is only sugar, and the volume is the donut that is mainly fat. (I am assuming this donut has no alcohol or protein in it). If I assume that a regular donut has 14 grams of fat, and 12 grams of sugar, how many grams of fat and sugar does my square donut have?
Also, sorry I forgot calc 3 terms (I could probably put the word gradient somewhere in here).
Inb4 counting calories, donut haha loser (I am a college student I eat what I find).
