When I see, hear about, or think about injury and gore, I get a sort of shiver in my sides, shoulders and inner arms. For example when I hear a story about a broken hip, or right now in the /sci/ catalog, the picture of a medical hose going into someone's belly.
Is this the same effect as the proverbial shudder, cringe, or "chill down the spine"? If so, how come it's in my arms instead? Does anyone else get this?
