If QM actually interfaces with the brain it does so thanks to specific arrangements of matter.
Hypotetically, neurons containing specific information would interface with their correlated non-local counterparts (and not just neurons, I'm including all other interactions of QM).
So, there might be shared consciousness effects if many people know the same things, it would certainly explain some coincidences.
The reason I'm inclined to consider this possibility is because I'm pretty sure the big seeling point of QM, beside allowing non-determistic outcomes, is to prioritize realities who have higher level of entropy (maybe calculated by the quantum states variance).
A dead universe would certainly be more dull with just basic reactions doing boring stuff at that level, while realities with thriving life would exhibit more interesting patterns.
I may be off but, as a developer, I'd have to be a retard if I created a black-box system I can't even inspect, QM could be a candidate to act as the "interface". I'd also want unpredictable but interesting results from running these realities, so capitalizing on the instances with better entropy would be a sensible choice.
Just imagine, it would mean that your "soul" literally changes the moment you change your knowledge or your mindset. Even if the effect were small it would change things significantly in the long run, statistically speaking.
