Predictable as it has in most similar threads so far. However, not quite convincing because the people opposing the status quo keeps rising with every following year, the exact same status quo you're subconsciously defending by saying stuff like "oh your problem is that you don't have a job - get one and invest yourself into the status quo and you'll stop rebelling and become some mediocre low-energy primate like me coping in basic maintenance mode".
This is always what this argument of transcendence vs primitivism boils down to and most people simply cannot let go of the fact that life can be so much more than just mediocre maintenance of a purposeless existence.

Well for most people alive right now, it literally is. It's nothing more than basic instinctual gratification through slightly more abstract means than it has been in the past 10,000 years, plus a bit of tribalism and rooting for your team in the political spectrum of tribes. Beyond that, life stops and nihilism flows in because they're no longer capable of finding any other reason to exist.
