The Grand Unified Theory of Classical Physics has explored hydrogen plasma physics a bit deeper than most other proposed theories of cosmology and high energy particle physics. The pdf is free to download. You can also just go to google scholar and refine your search. I recently read something interesting on relativistic self focusing of laser radiation in high energy density plasmas that was published in the 70s. There's lots of reading material available for free online if you just look for it.
