Mathematics as a field surely requires a lot of visual-spatial intelligence. Yet, if you open a contemporary math book, the best you will find is a few illustrations here and there of basic mathematical concepts and if you're lucky plenty of basic graphs. The relationship between math and art, or the presence art in nature via physics, is rarely explored, and if it is, usually only after math and physics knowledge has been obtained already.

This shouldn't be the case, now should it? We should surely take a unitary approach to math, physics, engineering and the arts, with a visual medium always serving as the primary motivation.

Learning proofs mechanistically weeds out not the dumb, but those who derive enjoyment in other ways.
