So the deepest borehole in the world is the Kola Superdeep Borehole in Russia, and i've been watching some videos of other deep holes and people just throwing rocks and whatever else down in them. like this

and it got me thinking, what would happen if you shot a bullet Straight down into this 12,262 metres (40,230 ft; 7.619 mi) hole? or even a deeper hole what would happen?

the bullet would eventually hit the dirt, dissipate its energy as heat and kinetic energy moving the dirt, and then that's it. do you expect the earth to explode or something?

No. The bullet would acrually start to decelerate on account of 1) air resistance and 2) decreased gravitational force (because of Gauss's law)

The air pressure should be much higher and thus aerodynamic drag would be also higher.
I think effect of gravity would be relatively negligible, 7km isn't that much.

Only for a point mass. The earth is not a point mass

No I didn't. The gravitational flux through a closed surface is proportional to the mass contained within the surface. As the bullet goes down the borehole, the radius of the surface decreases. This means the mass enclosed by the surface decreases. Thus the gravitational force on the bullet decreases.

This is true, but the borehole goes down into the earth, which isn't a point mass. It's a big distributed mass. All the mass between the borehole's surface and the current position of the bullet is no longer "below" the bullet and so doesn't pull it anymore
