I'm an undergrad and joined a small lab that is 100% internationals composed of 60% Mainland Chinese and 40% Japanese, I'm already regretting joining the lab because of the heavy language barrier, lack of mentor-ship, and so far I haven't felt welcome in the lab. Do I just stick it out in this lab for another 3 years, being completely isolated or try to find a new lab to join in say 1 year? Is changing labs as an undergrad looked down upon? Because I'm looking into going to grad school, I don't even know how I can possibly get more than 1 letter of recommendation (assuming PI writes one).
