I have quite a few trans friends, I don't think that they would take this shit, they don't consider themselves to be afflicted in any way. Personally I disagree, if you take medicine you have a mental disorder of some sort, I'm fine gendering them the way they want but I'm very dubious of their justification for not taking on the label of mental illness (I got ADHD and I'm labeled as mentally ill by everyone I know, also some of my trans friends want the government to cover the hormone therapy). My problem lies in treatment, if you treat something they got to be sick, it doesn't make them lesser people but I don't think ignoring it for "progressive" reasons is legitimate..
Any way who fucking cares, Im no tranny so I give zero shits what they do, as to them forcing their pronouns on you, well I think it undermines them because it really feels like some form of pity, at least for those that don't pass, I knew one at my old college that was just straight up a neckbeard, he was nice though he will never pass. I'm very tiered of this conversation though, it's such a waste of time, we have many genuine issues in this country and I think if people just compromise and used neutral pronouns it would be easier for everyone and would eventually lean in favor of trans people, nobody wants a compromise though so things will stay the same.
