and yes, they can and do. it's math, dumbass. more stored calories = longer time till starvation. obviously there are complicating factors in nutrition that i'm too retarded to describe in detail, what with vitamins and minerals and shit - especially salt, i imagine - because we don't store nearly as much of that sort of stuff, but at the very least an obese person would take a whole lot longer to starve in an environment with scarce resources. whether that would outweigh (ahaha) the fact that they're likely less capable of actually surviving, i dunno.
