an average gorilla is 350 pounds. that's not an enormous difference, and gorillas aren't trained combatants that hone their skills with the aid of nutritionists or coaches. they're not particularly intelligent, either, and i think when faced with overwhelming, directed force, they'd back down pretty quick. they're strong, but i'm confident that if mike tyson had wanted to beat a gorilla's face into nothing, he would've been able to. he'd probably come out with a whole lot of wounds, but he'd have won, i reckon.
you ought to remember that we were evolved to get into fights with animals much, much larger than we are.
