>>10996394Depends on the amount of plasma and how long your container can tolerate the enormous heat of it's own payload. Most all metals and even ceramics and crystals melt when exposed to concentrated plasma like butter in a blowtorch flame, if you can carry the plasma to a target and focus it onto a small point on the target it will probably have a penetrating effect somewhat like a HEAT warhead, drilling a small hole into the target and then rapidly expanding as a sort of fireball or cloud of extreme heat inside of the target's hollow spaces (very lewd) and potentially igniting vital components such as ammunition, fuel, and crew. The issue is that this same incredible cutting/melting/vaporizing effect is going to be what your shell must be subjected to for it to fly without instantly bursting upon it's payload being charged. Either that or the shell has to have it's own internal short lived magnetic confinement mechanism which will make them both very complex and very expensive to manufacture.
