Hey guys, i'm a non-premed chemistry major and need help deciding what kind of clothes to wear in my life of getting pleasure from math and science.
About 4 weeks ago, I had an incident. I normally love math, but I was late to an 8 AM class and missed a math quiz. I was so devastated because it feels foolish to enjoy math when you missed a quiz. So I decided I need some social pleasure to keep me stable in case my math/science pleasure fails. I went to thrift store and bought women's clothes, then tripped balls on LSD while wearing them on campus. I found it beautiful that humans can pick out any clothes to socially present a cute appearance. But it backfired when my dad confronted me over the "weird girly stuff", saying that it's going to ruin my future because I can't get a job or make professional connections when neurotypicals ridicule anyone who doesn't wear clothes that traditionally correspond to biological sex.
I don't know what to do. I also have issue with wearing "Boy clothes" because it signifies submission to a societal order that demands males conform, stay in line, work hard, and don't be TOO happy. Before the industrial revolution, males wore decorative clothes, but after the industrial revolution, males were stripped of their spirits, circumcised like slaves, and demanded to be hard workers instead of pursuing happiness. It also signifies that I seek to display social pleasure of looking like a "man" or a "dude" or a "bro", but i'm not any of those things, i'm just a person who loves math and chemistry.
I wish there was blank standard uniform anyone can wear. I would shave my head and wear a full body white outfit.
