It seems like it's accepted that the curvature of spacetime is connected. Has anyone considered if the curvature is disconnected? It seems to me like it could be a possibility, since energy is quantized, and we have a minimum length, the Planck length. Would assuming that the curvature is disconnected even change anything, since the disjoint subsets would be so "small" and numerous?
