Is Isopropyl myristate (different from isopropyl alcohol) safe to ingest?

I want to get drunk, but I?ve heard isopropyl alcohol can blind you and isopropyl myristate is a byproduct of it.

It is the ester of isopropyl alcohol and myristic acid, which will both be formed when it's metabolised, so no it is not safe

How bad is that for constant usage on skin though? There’s a reason we haven’t replaced hand soap in the restrooms with them yet right? That sounds more helpful than the former at destroying germs.

But you could drink butanol or amyl alcohol (fake banana flavor) apparently it's 10x stronger than ethanol and seems like drinking it is less likely to kill you than most other random alcohols. But like seriously don't be a fag and kill yourself drinking random lab chemicals. Or at least if you do post pics.

methanol can blind you. isopropyl alcohol is a CNS depressant and gets you drunk or atleast drowsy, but its more potent that ethanol and an overdose is less likely to induce vomiting than with ethanol, so youre more likely to die from that. still much less dangerous than methanol though.

no. do you know what a byproduct is?

that stuff actually contains 1-5% isopropyl alcohol. probably not enough to kill you but i wouldnt try it. the small amount of isopropyl myristate is pretty much irrelevant.
