Soooooo we have computers now, right? We have extraordinarily accurate ways of charting the sun's trek across the sky, and of Earth's orbit. Why do we still use UTC and traditional clocks at all?
If we wanted to, we could have it so that the sun's peak in the sky is ALWAYS 12:00 and midnight is ALWAYS when it's furthest away, every day. Just add/subtract a few seconds digitally at a pre-calculated time. Why don't we just do that?
