if you read between the lines in this thread, you'll see that what "rasheedah" is saying is basically not related at all to hard science. what she says is some sort of social science inspired version of literary criticism/literary analysis, and nothing of what she says has any relevance to what physicists might measure in a laboratory or might theorize about on a chalkboard. it is completely in the realm of people who never calculate a single number in their lives. and thus can be ignored by serious scientists

well most physicists think that philosophizing about "views" is a waste of time. the thing that matters is testable predictions and real results, not "views" or "interpretations" or "metaphysics" or "philosophy". all of that is basically useless distractions that only lead empirical scientists astray.

yes, basically. i would add the caveat that in special and general relativity, time is a dimension that can “flex” in technical ways, but it is basically a real-valued parameterization for spacetime.

rasheedah seems to want to promote retrocausality, but in physics that is not allowed

Almost all languages, European or otherwise, adapt positional language to temporal language. In English, this would be "before" and "after", which originally was used to described the positions of something. "He saw a someone kneeling before him." Even the African languages he mentions do the same, but the words they use are in relation to "pacing."
I didn't even read the whole thing, because it's retarded to blame this shit on Europeans bringing the black physicist down. It's an intrinsic part of all human language, even African languages, and they explain this themselves in this article.

the delayed-choice quantum eraser experiment is a very interesting one. however, personally, i do not believe it implies any sort of retrocausality.

even if it DID, then that sort of effect would only manifest in very controlled set-ups that were set up specifically to do that kind of thing. generally it would be the exception to the rule

if you want to chat about the delayed-choice quantum eraser experiment, i suggest making a different thread. i have thoughts about it, as do some other anons here, based on my experience, and this thread is not the place to worry about it

I read the transcript someone posted. What does it matter if africans thought time in the past and the future are totally separate things and europeans are always thinking about the future? This has no relevance to the physical idea of time as a spacetime coordinate. In fact, both a separation of past and future time and a belief that time is "linear" are wrong under GR, which has made accurate predictions unlike the other two.
