Do lobotomies actually work? I remember hearing a story about a guy who attempted suicide by shooting himself in the head. He survived and claims that his suicide attempt cured his OCD and depression. Should the West consider bringing back lobotomies?

I get that, that's why I came here, because of freedom of speach, but still I don't inderstand why people can't express themselves without being so hostile. I find the content of this board very interesting, people here are clearly more educated and intelligent than im the alternatives, but I still don't get the agression. I'm afraid at some point somebody is gonna insult me because of my poor English, when the fact is that it's not my native language.
