I have observed this blinking/flashing star phenomenon numerous times in the night sky over the last decade.
- All up I've seen it around 7-8 times
- It has blinked in stationary and also irregular patterns and doesn't follow a flight path or orbital trajectory ruling out aircraft or satellite
- Always has a 8-10 second time interval between flashes.
-Distinct white flash, becomes fainter before it disappears
>looked online to see if anyone else has reported or potentially filmed the phenomenon. Most people wont be blown away by the video quality but the publisher captured exactly what I've observed
