I’d say my depression was triggered by external circumstances (which neither I or my peers recogniz), which had eventually turned inwards over the years, and now I’m beginning to really struggle with death anxiety and pessimism (nihilism) and this condition will finish me off I’m sure if I don’t do anything about it.
On an additional note, I’ve taken SSRIs for a few months before and while I’m sure they made me forgetful and less caring of my deeper questions and concerns, it felt like all they did was ignore the symptoms and not get to the crux of my depression. They extuingished my flames so to speak.
