Hey /sci/, so like 2 years ago an observation was published in which a team of physicts observed a a bar magnet "missing" it's magnetic field.

For some reason the poles still held their field, but they couldn't detect the field that should have been connecting the two poles around the magnet.

I've been looking online for this article, does someone remember this? Or is someone able to at least point me in the right direction?

I only came across this article like 3 times in the span of the month, and if nothing developed from this finding, and it hasn't been explained away, I have a rather crack pot idea as to what could be causing this.
