However we believe the early Universe was roughly homogeneous on these scales, and that the laws of physics describing the event we see unfolding far away a long time ago are the same as those we see here on Earth.
This is just a hypothesis. It'd be really cool if we found out it wasn't true. But to do that, we should take data and find out. The best evidence we have suggests it is true, mostly.
The Hubble tension suggests it might not be.
