That said, you're correct about the hours being absolutely shitcock retarded, and this kind of dampens the high salary; 200K a year doesn't look like quite such a killing when you're working 90 hours a week to make it.
It's also extraordinarily competitive (not surprising with pay that high). The people you're competing with are very, very smart and have cutthroat competitive natures.
It's a great career if you're a workaholic sociopath whose goal in life is to accumulate a fat pile of money at any cost. Other people don't hack it so well.
