>>10973003>If math at every university, no matter how small and without renown, then math at the least of all Ivy League schools is what, for extraterrestrials?yes quite literally. I don't think you understand the level of rigor and effort it requires to get into those schools in the first place, and then into the extremely competitive area like math. unironically probably anyone accepted into harvard or other ivy league math programs are either near genius or total geniuses.
they require perfect grades, perfect scores, perfect scores for advanced math subject tests. Perfect preparation. those kids were fuckign breed to go there man.
I go to a state school because I didn't have that kind of preparation, I went to public school and only until when it was too late did I start thinking about preparing myself for these schools.
my little brother goes to a private high school as a freshman and one of the kids there he met does advanced calculus as a freshmen.
like you're fucking with me I didn't even do multivariable calculus until I was a senior.
Ivy league students are usually of a different class of human bro.
no fucking way am I going to major in maths. my IQ is 140 and that's not even valuable in there. i'm a fuckign smooth brain in comparison to the dude that actually succeed in those fields.
>>10973036yeah but math undergrad degree is pretty fuckign useless if you can't make the cut into grad school.
>>10973042get a minor. employers don't usually give a fuck about degrees that aren't directly relevant to what you're applying for.
>>10973022if you're a genius then you should already have the knowledge of an undergrad math major before the age of 17.
your most vital math years are while young.
you're way too confident and it's just arrogance.
