>Mathematics (4-6 credits)>Complete either MATH 126 & MATH 127 (6 credits total) *OR* MATH 128 (5 credits) *OR* MATH 181 (4 credits). So the way you earn the most credits, 6, is taking MATH 126 and MATH 127. That's precalculus 1 and 2, respectively. If you have a decent SAT or ACT score, you can enroll in MATH 124 (without a placement test), which is college algebra. It is usually recommend that new college students take it just to get all the fundamentals down at a college level. You can always test out but you do really have to know the material.
It is surprising how many students join a program and get dropped because they can't pass their math classes. I had a friend from HS who passed HS algebra but had been taught literally nothing. Got a bad SAT score and had to take some rudimental math classes and had difficulty with them, but he just kept taking one each semester, so he was still taking all of his other credits for like three years when he eventually was able to attempt MATH 124. He failed it three times and got kicked out of the program, and all of that was paid for by his parents so he could get a kinesiology degree. Education is a business.
