The surface has pressure far too high, but if we fill a balloon with air from Earth we can breath and we will experience similar gravity to Earth. It just so happens that the density of Venus's atmosphere would place us at such a height with that gravity, and that's pretty cool.
That said, only living in big blimps seems like a really bad idea, and just making solid self contained shelters underground on Mars would almost certainly be way way easier. Both cool.
Anything I'm missing? Can we get to Venus a lot more frequently/ faster than we can Mars?
