I guess this is a /pol/ bait thread but there were actually some interesting human experiments they did.
I once read somewhere about a series of tests where they blindfolded the subject and did stuff to them, telling them it was something else. One of them was they told the subject they were going to touch them with a hot piece of metal and then touched them with an icecube, and the skin would blister like it was burned. Another was they told a subject they were going to slit their wrists and then slid an icecube across their wrists, and the subject died.
I still need to go double check if that's actually legitimate but imagine what the implications of that would be, just by believing something you can actually physically change your body. How else could that be applied? Could you cure certain diseases just with your mind?
