Isn’t the IQ test is supposed to test your abilities to pass the IQ test? In my opinion, it’s not the ‘thinking quality’ or something like that.

An IQ tests aims to measure abstract problem solving, decision making and pattern recognition. One may argue those skills are not particularly needed for a plethora of jobs currently, which is why one may say it only tests how good you are at doing IQ tests.
However, I would say it does measure 'thinking quality'.

That's only true if you practice them. Otherwise, it actually measures part of your cognitive abilities. IQ tests were created based on a pre-existing set of human skills, not the other way around.
The only problem with it is that it's very incomplete and inaccurate for people who are above average.

If you want an accurate measure of your IQ, take the WAIS IQ test. Online test aren't an accurate measure of your IQ. This should probably be stickied on this board.

IQ has no real predictive power over an IQ of >115-120.
There is absolutely no way to determine who will do better in life, some dude with an IQ of 120 or some dude with an IQ of 140.
IQ only has strong predictive power at IQs that are very low.
We can very strongly predict that someone with an IQ of 80 will do much worse than someone with an IQ of 120.
This is a fact IQ fags never mention.
The whole point of IQ was to find retards, it was never intended to find people will be succesful.

The thing is that the correlation beetween iq and sucess (mesured by net worth) flattens out for high iq above a certain range arround 120.
Anyway if your iq is above 115 and you're conscious enough you'll definitly be successful with a bit of will.

Why are you limiting abstraction to spatial recognition? A large chunk of abstraction skills relies on verbal reasoning.

Why the fuck should I care if I took more than 25 minutes to answer 40 questions. They should start making un-timed IQ tests with harder questions. That would be a better representation of overall mental ability.

iq test questions are very simple/easy so you can compare people from every origin without giving advantage to educated people more familiar with harder puzzles
most of the internet iq tests are already too hard
and it's timed because iq is basically speed of our brains
