This whole time, I had no idea why my uncle and cousins were so worried about me. Maybe because they see a lot of Jeb in me. Maybe because, as he once said to me, I'm the first candidate of any party to make this much sense.
And now, here I am.

I thought about Jeb all day last week, when the debate over our Syria policy turned nasty. As I told my wife, "You've got to understand, I've got to run and I've got to get elected in 2016." Jeb, by contrast, just sat and watched. When the news of the Paris attack broke, a tear rolled down his face. He was, I think, relieved it wasn't his son, George W. By then, they'd both gotten back from Paris and decided to join me.
