I'm a math major undergrad (double in philosophy) with no CS courses, but I'm looking to go into machine learning research, doing math heavy stuff to make automated cars or whatever.
Should I do a PhD in stats, or a masters bridge program in CS to catch up --> PhD in CS?
Or is ML just a meme field, and is this a disastrous idea altogether?
It's either this shit or law, or possibly engineering.
