Is there such a thing as a uniform varying acceleration (is there a velocity equation that is above the second degree)? Does it have a name and practical examples? Am I dumb for asking? Thanks.

Are you saying if accelerations can vary with time? Then absolutely. In fact, any time dependent force (say an alternating field) will have time changing accelerations.

Newton's law of gravitation. Uniform acceleration only applies in a sufficiently small range of heights, otherwise the acceleration varies with position.

Do you mean constant jerk? (Yes, that's the accepted term for the derivative of the acceleration)

I do apologize, english is not my first language, nor my second. What I meant seems to be constantly varying acceleration, and not uniform, which caused a bit of a confusion.

Yes, jerk is the third derivative of position and the example that comes to mind for me is motors in which the acceleration changes with power and time
