What do I need for this? What are the basic necessary elements to start this life? I was thinking to buy a small portion of land somewhere, possibly with a cottage or a house to reconstruct, exactly for this purpose in the future.

There is a famous youtuber called Ian the channel is called Forgotten Weapons.
He graduated as a mechanical engineer and worked as a bartender for 5 years saving enough money to build self sufficient house on his own land someone remotely.
He made a youtube channel about it documenting his adventure.
he build huge concrete bunker,dug up wells for water,solar panels because this is Arizona after all ect.
Fast track some 3 years later in a FAQ he was asked does he live there in the desert in his new habitat.
He was very clear that it is really bad idea for anyone to do it because he tried it himself with the whole 9 yards.
Its simply not viable for a magnitude of reasons that he explained but i didnt bother to remember.
Thats my story and im sticking to it.
