Highway Pollution

Does this concern anyone?
>If you live, work, or go to school within 1,500 feet of a highway, you are probably inhaling highly polluted air which decreases IQ and causes many health problems, including dementia.

This seems very dangerous. I increase my risk of DEMENTIA because my college is 100-200 meters from a highway? Are you kidding? This makes me want to not go to school now. I don't want Dementia or a lower IQ. Are these studies accurate or is this somewhat sensational? I'm actually considering not going now. I have another option which is about 900 meters away from a highway but they their financial aid award is not nearly as generous.
