Now that I'm a junior in university, I've had time to realize my own mistakes I wish I knew before I started. I regret being a biochemistry major. Not because I don't enjoy biochemistry/biology/chemistry. It's because you spend time in lectures and labs, to eventually be tested on that knowledge is absolutely worthless if you go into research. I've realized I would be better off taking an easy major and doing research in a biochemistry/molecular biology lab with all the spare time I would have. Option 2: would be going into physics or a math major, then spending time in research.
